Please read these Terms of Use, including those set forth in the Privacy Policy (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) carefully before using the Receiptly application (the “App”) made available by Karma Academy pty ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
Your access to and use of the App is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who wish to access or use the App on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Subscription payments, renewals, and cancellation
Some parts of the App are billed on a subscription basis (“Subscription(s)”). If you choose to purchase a Subscription, payment is charged on a recurring basis (“Billing Cycle”). Billing cycles may be monthly or yearly.
- iOS: payment is charged to your Apple ID. You may manage or cancel the Subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase. Account balance information is also available there.
- Android: payment is charged to your Google Play account. You may manage or cancel the Subscription in Google Play subscriptions after purchase.
Your Subscription will automatically renew under the same conditions unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current Billing Cycle. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current Billing Cycle.
Paid features are sold as Receiptly Pro on iOS and Receiptly Plus on Android.
Karma Academy pty ltd does not send invoices for store purchases.
Trial subscriptions
The App may offer a free trial during which you can use paid features for a limited time. On Android, Receiptly Plus may include a 3-day trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you agree to be billed according to “Subscription Payments, Renewals, and Cancellation”.
Fee changes
Karma Academy pty ltd, in its sole discretion and at any time, may modify the Subscription fees for the Subscriptions.
Refunds and billing disputes
All purchases are final through the store that charged you. Karma Academy pty ltd cannot issue refunds for purchases charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account.
- iOS: contact Apple / the App Store to seek a remedy.
- Android: contact Google Play to seek a remedy.
Optional Gmail imports
In supported versions on iPhone and iPad, you can choose to connect Gmail and import purchase information as receipts. You authorize this connection through Google and can disconnect it in Receiptly or revoke access through your Google Account. The availability of this feature also depends on Google authorization and service availability.
The purchase list and extracted details may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review the merchant, amount, currency, purchase date, and other details before saving or relying on an imported receipt. An email may describe an order, invoice, or payment update rather than a completed purchase.
Source email content and attachments are processed temporarily on your device. The receipt fields you choose to save and a one-way marker used to recognize previously imported emails become ordinary Receiptly records and can sync with iCloud when enabled. Disconnecting Gmail keeps those saved records and does not change or delete the original emails. You can delete imported receipts within Receiptly. See Gmail integration in the Privacy Policy for details about access, processing, storage, and deletion.

Your use of the App is at your sole risk. The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. The App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.
Karma Academy pty ltd, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that a) the App will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the App is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the App will meet your requirements.
Data security and privacy
Receipt information and images you create remain on your device. On iPhone and iPad they can optionally sync through your personal iCloud account if you enable that feature. On Android they stay on that device and do not sync with iPhone or iCloud. Receiptly does not provide a hosted account for your receipt library. Optional Smart Scan and Gmail integration have the data flows described in the Privacy Policy. Gmail source emails and original attachments are not automatically kept with imported receipts; the fields and import marker you save follow the same storage and iCloud settings as other receipts.
Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the App.
